Fusarium root rot

Background
Soybeans in Cumberland county, variety Asgrow brand, possibly 56X8, were scouted and observed 10% of the field was affected widespread by cracks, browning, gum/slime/ooze/wet wood, malformation. root rot, and stunting. This is a wet site. The previous year corn was planted, those plants also had problems.
Conclusion
The issue was identified as Fusarium root rot. This disease is caused by Fusarium sp. Fusarium root rot can result in both pre- and post-emergence damping-off, leading to delayed emergence and stunting of infected seedlings.
