Fusarium seed rot

Background
Soybeans in Wayne county, variety Dynagro 5878, were scouted and observed plants aborted with no pods. 90% of plants are very small, the remaining are two times as tall but all plants have very few pods.
Conclusion
This issue was identified as Fusarium seed rot. Fusarium sp. infects seeds reducing plant health. Pod damage, plant stress, and seed colonization are typical cause this disease. Fusarium seed rot is associated with wet and humid conditions. Soil that experiences waterlogging increases the chance of fusarium seed rot.
