Fusarium root rot

Background
Soybeans in Pasquotank county, variety Southern Harvest 5321 ES, were scouted and observed 5% of the field was affected by widespread dieback, yellowing, and root and stem rot. Rain has been normal with temperatures above average. Plants have been dying for 6 weeks randomly.
Conclusion
The issue was identified as Fusarium root rot. This disease is caused by Fusarium sp. Fusarium root rot can result in both pre- and post-emergence damping-off, leading to delayed emergence and stunting of infected seedlings.
