Cercospora leaf blight

Background
Soybeans were scouted in Beaufort County, and it was observed that in 5% of the field in random areas, plants were damping off. A sample was sent to the PDIC for analysis. The site is dry and sunny.
Conclusion
Cercospora kikuchii The leaves were diagnosed with Cercospora leaf blight. This disease is caused by the pathogen Cercospora kikuchii and although it's common in soybeans, it rarely causes significant yield losses in North Carolina. Chemical management and cultural practices are both options to control Cercospora leaf blight.
