- Weevils were spotted near a field edge. Adult feeding on the soybeans had notching characteristic of pea leaf weevil.
- Conclusion
- Photos confirmed the identification of this insect. The neighboring field was planted with a cover crop of vetch and crimson clover. The weevils developed on the clover and moved into the soybean. Feeding was most intense near the border of the field with the cover crop.
