Deer feeding damage

Background
Soybeans were scouted at V1/V2 growth stage were leafless stems were found.
Conclusion
The cause for the leafless stems in the fields is deer feeding on the leaves. This kind of damage is usually observed during the first few weeks of growth. If the deer only eat foliage above the first node, the plant has the opportunity to recover, but if they eat below the cotyledonary node the plant will not recover
